Beginners Quilting

Discover the art of Patchwork and Quilting, perfect for anyone looking to enhance their sewing skills! In this hands-on workshop, you'll master key patchwork techniques, from different layout designs and techniques to perfectly line up fabric for that flawless stitch.

Our Patchwork classes are run by a highly decorated tutor, Laurel Bryne. Laurel is extremely knowledgeable within the art of Patchwork and quilting. She is one of only three prestigious Westalee gold level accredited teachers in the UK. After you have attended this class and fallen in love with quilting there will be options to attend an extended course with Laurel to further enhance your skills.

During this class, you'll create samples, including of patchwork, while working with a sewing machine. You will use a variety of tools and create a stunning quilted cushion. Although some basic sewing experience is required, you can easily join one of our Intro to Sewing classes beforehand if you're new to sewing.

Whether you're looking to start a relaxing new hobby or transform your skills, this class offers everything you need to get started!

You will need to bring the following:

~ 5 x Fat Quarters of your choice

~ Half a metre of non stretch cotton fabric for backing.

~ Half a meter of wadding/batting
